My love affair with the scanner continues. Today I bring you two photos I have just discovered (and had never seen before) in the bottom of a box of stuff* my mum gave me.
On the back of them, it's written that these were taken in December 1979 at a Christmas party.
*My mother is not generally the sentimental, pull her punches type when it comes to her kids, so included in this box are things like the letter she got advising of my suspension from boarding school, and all my crap school reports from my I-wish-I-could-forget-them teenage years. But, I guess, photos like these brighten up the box a bit.

Suspension from boarding school is truly a worthy badge to wear. Belated Congratulations.
well you know you were in good company...remember how they had to change the rules for our final year about the person selected as head boarder not having had a suspension on their record after that night in fairfield park when 1/2 the combined colleges got caught boozing...you must have been there, even i was and I wasn't a boarder...CF xxx
Some time ago I caught up with an old school friend who had, with me, been a "bad influence, trouble maker and of dubious morals" at school. (the last bit was what the headmaster described any one he knew, or suspected was gay).
Unlike my friend I didn't get expelled. Also, unlike my friend who went on to be a very successful business person, I have never been invited back to talk at the school.
The current headmaster at the time of my friends visit was not aware of the expulsion until my friend asked if his invitation, considering the situation, "was a new policy to encourage creative thinking and solutions". Head master went pale and got very worried .......
Wow, you can really see Remy in that top photo!
